Dark Meat is a pretty sizable collective based in Athens, GA. The group started when singer/guitarist Jim McHugh and bassist Ben Clack moved to Athens from North Carolina and subsequently met the other 14 members (that could be way off) to form the band in 2004. They just finished SXSW playing at My Old Kentucky and Aquarium Drunkard's venue. I added the song "Angel of Meth" from the expanded version to their 2006 album Universal Indians. Check it out - I only heard of them recently but really like it.
