Benjy Ferree
Ferree is a D.C. based singer/songwriter (not in a John Mayer/Jason Mraz way) who's musical style is hard to sum up in one word. His voice reminds me of Jack White, and his music ranges from rock and roll to Americana to blues. Ferree released his first EP in 2006, and has since signed with Domino Records. His latest album, Come Back To the Five and Dime, Bobby Dee Bobby Dee, was released last month. The album is dedicated to Bobby Driscoll (Peter Pan) as a "musical eulogy to a forgotten child star who was chewed up and spit out by the Hollywood meat market." Check out "Pisstopher Chrisstopher" from the new album below.
