Cymbals Eat Guitars are an unsigned band from Staten Island, New York, however, they won't remain unsigned for very long. After receiving a great review and making their way to Pitchfork's best new music list, it's only a matter of time for them. It also doesn't hurt that they write great songs, but the buzz is always good. They met in high school covering Weezer songs, and even found one of their members on Craigslist. They now sound nothing like Weezer, but more like a little Built to Spill with some early Modest Mouse. Their self-released first album is out now and is called Why There Are Mountains. Tracks 1 and 4 from the album are available below.
