A Place To Bury Strangers (APTBS) is a heavy psychedelic trio based in New York City (NYC). They are affectionately known as New York's loudest live act. The Washington Post is quoted referring to the band as "the most earth-shatteringly loud garage/shoegaze band you will ever hear." They broke out in 2007 with the fabled favorable Pitchfork Media review, and since then they have toured around with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, MGMT, and Nine Inch Nails.
