San Francisco's Girls made a pretty huge splash earlier this year after their debut album, aptly titled Album, hit the BNM section on Pitchfork, they released the NSFW (that's Not Safe For Work to all yous that don't know) video for their single "Lust for Life", and frontman Christopher Owens' crazy ass backstory was revealed. These 3 factors turned out to be a pretty nice catalyst to jump start a relatively unknown band into the limelight. Kind of helps also that the album is pretty solid. I think some folks are trying to get them to Jackson or Oxford. Who wants to help?
