In an indie-era dominated by poppy-electronic hits, it was quite refreshing to see a guy with a guitar bring some folk power to the stage. Sweden’s The Tallest Man on Earth is back on tour after the release of his second full length album The Wild Hunt. I caught him at Bottletree CafĂ© in Birmingham last week and my expectations were exceeded. His raspy vocals were real and untainted. No special effects here. Just Kristian Mattson (that’s his name), a guitar, and a mic. As posted earlier, the new album is worth checking out. And I would highly recommend catching him live. I know that 7 hour, round trip was worth it Jacksonians…
