In an indie-era dominated by poppy-electronic hits, it was quite refreshing to see a guy with a guitar bring some folk power to the stage. Sweden’s The Tallest Man on Earth is back on tour after the release of his second full length album The Wild Hunt. I caught him at Bottletree Café in Birmingham last week and my expectations were exceeded. His raspy vocals were real and untainted. No special effects here. Just Kristian Mattson (that’s his name), a guitar, and a mic. As posted earlier, the new album is worth checking out. And I would highly recommend catching him live. I know that 7 hour, round trip was worth it Jacksonians…
